ABOUT OUR CLUB
ABOUT OUR CLUB
The Club was originally formed in the 1920s in Wauchope, on the Mid North Coast of NSW.
Over the years, records were lost and the club folded for a number of years. It was re-established in 1969 by Harley Cooke and a number of other poultry fanciers. Since then, the club has expanded.
We Celebrated our 50th year in June 2019
Continues to leap from strength to strength.
The Club is highly involved in creating awareness in exhibition poultry through our junior members and local community.
Open Information Days held in the poultry pavilion, are made to encourage junior to senior members to our club. These visits are an opportunity to engage and teach younger generations about all things poultry, and more of these visits are planned for the future.
Our Club distributes a monthly magazine called the Chook Run, with latest editions available for download from our website.v
The Club also holds a collection of poultry-related books and publications available to its members.
Wauchope Poultry Club is built upon a strong foundation of shared passion for poultry, and the club would happily welcome any new member to our dedicated team.
